The Top 4 Things To Do If You Are Newly Engaged
Have you become recently engaged!? If so, CONGRATULATIONS! You may be wondering what some of the first things you and your fiancé should be doing now that you are newly engaged. Not to fret, I am here to share with you my experience as an Thompson Okanagan wedding planner and the top things every couple should do after they say YES!
1. Take some time to enjoy this moment
As a newly engaged couple, it is so easy to get caught up in the celebrations, social media announcements and want to jump right into the wedding planning process. Before you do, slow down and take a moment to enjoy this time together. Maybe schedule a date night or delay your announcement by a day or two so that you two can share the excitement together.
2. Set your date and budget
One of the first things I recommend is sitting down together and discussing your budget and the ideal time you want to get married. Once you have a good idea of these two things, you can start the planning process.
3. Get inspired!
Pinterest is great for newly engaged couples, but so are family and friends! Head on over to our Pinterest account and give us a follow for wedding planning inspiration. Also, reach out to any friends or family who are newly married and ask about their wedding planning experience.
4. Find a wedding planner and start booking the rest of your vendors
Once you find the Thompson Okanagan wedding planner that is right for you it is time to start confirming your vendor team. Your wedding planner will work with you to secure your wedding venue, photographer, florist and any other vendors that you will be working with to bring our dream wedding vision to life.
I hope this has given you some peace of mind as a newly engaged couple. As an Thompson Okanagan wedding planner, my goal is to help take the stress out of the wedding planning process and ensure you have the wedding of your dreams!
